Acoustic Energy WiFi Internet Radio
"It's perfect for browsing music and discovering new gems."
Listen to any station, anywhere in the World, without a computer. This tabletop radio is based on the Reciva Internet Radio system, and will receive most radio stations broadcasting on the internet (currently over 11,000 streams). Stations range from mainstream content provided by major broadcasters, such as the BBC, to alternative content from niche markets. Live and on-demand ("listen again") programs in Real Audio, Windows and MP3 streams are all available to you.
Whenever the radio starts up, it downloads the latest station information from the Reciva gateway servers, so it always remains up to date. You select stations using the dial to scroll through menus that display stations either by Location or Genre.
The radio will work with any Wireless broadband connection (IEEE 802.11b/g), including the Apple Airport extreme. (802.11/N networks must be configured for g compatibility).
The radio has 10 presets for your favourite stations, and if you register it at www.reciva.com you can add as many as you like to your own stations list.
It is also capable of playing music files stored on a computer connected to your network. The radio will recognise .mp3, .wma and .aac files (case insensitive).
A standard 3.5mm stereo jack on the rear is provided so you can connect to a hifi or compact system such as the Aego M. Or use a pair of headphones for private listening.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- I have a wireless 802.11 N router - is that a problem?
- The radio is designed to be used with 802.11B or G networks, which most N routers support. Unfortunately new routers do not necessarily come "out of the box" in this mode, but it is usually quite easy to change. Please see your router documentation for instructions. If your network uses the N type protocol but is not configured for compatability, then the radio will not connect. We suggest you look through this support information on the Reciva Radio Portal
